I think there are more people interested in this and with the right skill and amount of time we could make a community 1.5 release via Daoc portal plugin. Sadly i havent found a way to take a screen about the sweetfx wrapper effects in game, cause fraps and basically like every 3rd part OST disables sweetfx (tips are welcome) Sun light/model lights/Spells are more consistent and enjoyable. Actually sweetfx doesnt add a proper HDR effect but try to simulate it, the results are good after some tweaks. Shortly Bloom and HDR enchance Light effects.

AAs Clean poligons from aliasing with no need of drivers ( and gpu stress) override. I found a good compromise on tweaks of these effectsĮven old textures appear more clear and without the typicall grey satin filter you see ingame. SMAA Anti-aliasing = (shortly SMAA applies AA to poligonal edges and improves the dynamic contrast), FXAA (similar but older, used only for color correction) LumaSharpen, Bloom, simulated HDR. Originally developed to mimic HDR and Bloom of enb with a very lower resources, i found it working pretty well with daoc. On the other hand, recently another wrapper came out, SweetFX. But no way to enable his advanced effects beyond a basic color correction. Enb overrides game effects by wrappers/injectos and delivers good results in price of very high hw resources. One way to resolve this could be ENB but actually is not working on many Directx9 games, like daoc. You can force driver's override but this put your machine on a useless bench of work, because the results are very poor. Gamebryo does not have settings for Anti-aliasing or Anisotropic Filtering. I used some open source ones from TES games keeping the original DAoC Lore. Simply, Daoc textures are pretty outdated, mostly are 256x. Keeping the original game engine the possible upgrades are: Silakka showed what could be done with a modern sandbox and the results are awesome but this way is far from being usable on a DOL server.
